Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday claimed a victory of the domestic opposition in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26 was “unthinkable”.
In his remarks over the matter, Kaladze alleged the opposition would “seek to escalate the situation” in the country following the elections “to bring chaos”.
He further added “everyone will see how the state will act if such unlawful steps are taken”.
“I say with full responsibility, the chances of the opposition winning the elections are zero. Zero. It is impossible, it is unthinkable”, the ruling party official claimed.
Kaladze also alleged the opposition consisted of “radical opposition elements” who had ruled the country during the former United National Movement Government.
