Seoul hosts Georgian wine presentation, master class

The South Korean capital of Seoul has hosted a presentation and professional master class on Georgian wine with the support of the country’s National Wine Agency, the body said.

15 Georgian wine producers, representing 40 various denominations of wine, were featured at the event, which was attended by 300 guests, including wine industry experts, sommeliers, buyers, influencers, and media organisations, as well as Tarash Papaskua, the country's Ambassador to Korea. 

The presentation of Georgian wine was organised by the Agency’s contractor Korean marketing company Wine21.com, which is the largest online wine portal in Korea, developed by industry experts to provide users with comprehensive information on wines available in the Korean market. 

The Agency noted such an event had been held for the third time in Seoul, adding with its support, Georgian wine producing companies “actively” participated in “prestigious” international exhibitions such as the Seoul International Wine and Spirits Expo and Daejeon International Wine Festival.

In the Asian region, Korea, along with China and Japan, is the key strategic market for Georgian wine, where various marketing events are held with the support of the National Wine Agency.
