Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Thursday highlighted Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s “all-encompassing address” at the United Nations General Assembly session on Wednesday.
In her remarks over the matter, Botchorishvili noted Kobakhidze had addressed “all the important issues on the agenda” of his Government.
The Parliament official stressed the PM’s address had emphasised the country’s importance in the wider region.
The Prime Minister discussed all the important issues that are on the agenda of Georgia. On the one hand, the importance of Georgia in the region was emphasised, how important it is to ensure peace and stability for the future of the region”, Botchorishvili said.
She further added that Kobakhidze’s address included the “main challenge” of the ongoing Russian occupation, and how the country “will be reunified in a peaceful way”.
