Georgian, Chinese finance ministers discuss bilateral cooperation

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Thursday met his Chinese counterpart Lan Fuan to discuss bilateral cooperation and prospects of transit capabilities of the country through ongoing infrastructure projects.

The Ministry said Khutsishvili expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Chinese Government to Georgia, encompassing both financial and technical assistance.

Concluding the meeting, both parties expressed a shared commitment to furthering the “active” cooperation between the two countries, the body added.

The meeting, which took place during the annual gathering of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Uzbekistan, also involved Ekaterine Guntsadze, the Deputy Finance Minister.
