Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday opened a new building of Zakaria Paliashvili Central Music School Decades of Talents, along with Thea Tsulukiani, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, the Government Administration said.
The head of the Government inspected the rehabilitated building and got acquainted with the implemented works, the Administration noted, adding the musical school had faced “difficult problems” over the years and the building could not “correspond to a professional environment”.
It also said more than ₾7.0 million ($2.56mnl) had been spent for the renovation of the school building with the support of the state and investment of the Cartu Charity Fund.
The PM congratulated Nodar Zhvania, the director of the school, teachers and students on the opening of the rehabilitated building and the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the school, the Administration added.
Kobakhidze, Tsulukiani and Nikoloz Chkhetiani, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cartu Fund, also attended a concert with the participation of “successful students and graduates” of the Decades of Talents school.
