Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili on Friday said partnership between Georgia and Kazakhstan would continue with “many joint” projects, in comments summarising a Georgian delegation’s visit to the country between Thursday and Friday.
Kazakhstan is an important partner of Georgia, both economically and politically. There are traditionally close, friendly relations between our countries, and it is very important for us that this cooperation will continue in the future. We have many joint projects, and the two countries will cooperate closely in their implementation”, he said.
The delegation’s visit to the country included meetings with Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov and Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev, as well as the hosting of the 12th session of the joint intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation.
Davitashvili said an agreement was reached for a business forum to be hosted in Georgia next year to “further strengthen and develop” trade and economic relations between the two countries.
