Georgian PM: Paralympic medal winners, coaches to be nominated for state awards

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said all winners of medals at the recently concluded Paralympic Games from the country and their coaches would be nominated for “highest state awards”.

The Government will hand out prize money for medals won by the competitors, similarly to the Olympic team that earned results at the Summer Games earlier this year.

Those gold medal winners will be awarded ₾1 million ($368,355,40), silver medal winners will receive ₾500,000 ($184,177,70) and bronze medallists will be granted ₾250,000 ($92,088,85).
