Follow Me in Adjara, a promotional campaign of the Tourism Department of Georgia’s western region - has reached 200 million hits on social media platforms, the body said on Tuesday.
The campaign, aimed at promoting Adjara as a year-round tourist destination, has included 30 influencers, content creators and photographers introducing the location’s visitor attractions to their followers.
The effort has promoted the region to “hundreds of thousands” of domestic tourists over two months, the Department said.
The final event of the project, planned for the second half of September is set to reveal winners of the main prizes of the campaign among the participating influencers.
