Ruling Party Sec Gen: Gov't policy “precisely” aims to restore Georgia’s territorial integrity

Kaladze also emphasised that the government’s policy was designed to achieve peaceful coexistence with “our brothers and sisters, the Ossetians and Abkhazians”, the populations of the Russian-occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) and Abkhazia regions, adding that work in this regard was underway. Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party and the Mayor of Tbilisi, on Wednesday claimed that the Government’s “pragmatic” policy “precisely” aimed at restoring the country's territorial integrity.

Speaking for the press, the ruling party official pointed out that one of Georgian Dream’s key priorities, which “resonated with every Georgian’s sentiment and thought”, was to restore territorial integrity. He acknowledged, however, that the process was “difficult”.

Nevertheless, considering everything taking place in the world today and the ongoing processes in the region, anything is possible”, he noted.
