Commission on electoral violations by civil servants reviews monitoring outcomes

The Inter-Agency Commission for Free and Fair Elections, established under Georgia’s Ministry of Justice to prevent electoral violations by civil servants, held its fourth meeting on Monday, with the session reviewing responses to information gathered through monitoring efforts, the Ministry said. 

The Commission, led by Justice Minister Rati Bregadze in the run-up to the October 26 general elections, had the particular session chaired by Deputy Justice Minister Tornike Cheishvili.

The meeting included participation from civil servants across various state agencies, as well as representatives from international monitoring organisations such as the International Republican Institute and the National Democratic Institute, alongside members of political parties.
