Georgia’s national team claimed 36 gold, 32 silver and 28 bronze medals at the 26th World Para-Armwrestling Championships in Moldova, topping the rankings with the result as the competition closed on Sunday.
The team’s athletes competed in a number of weight categories and in right- and left-handed disciplines.
The event also included sections for junior and senior arm wrestlers, as well as those with the titles of Master, Grandmaster, Senior Grandmaster and Super Senior Grandmaster.
Over 1,500 athletes from 60 countries featured at the Championships running between August 15-25 in Chișinău.
