Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday claimed the ruling party was the “only political force” that was pursuing to “maintain peace, economic development and progress” in the country.
Kaladze highlighted “preservation of peace” as the “main campaign promise” of the ruling party.
Today, the Georgian Dream party has many supporters throughout the country. People see that it is the only political force that wants to maintain peace, economic development, and progress”, he claimed.
The ruling party official also highlighted “persistent threats” he said the country was facing, such as calls for imposing sanctions on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine and the “opening of a second front” amid the ongoing war.
He further added the Georgian public did “not have the luxury to make a mistake with our emotionality” amid the existing challenges.
