Georgian Railway adds services for Tbilisi-Batumi route to meet travel demand

Georgian Railway on Wednesday said it would offer additional train services between the capital city of Tbilisi and the Black Sea city of Batumi to meet increased passenger demand.

Trains will take passengers to and from Batumi on August 24, 25 and 31, and September 1.

The company transported 525,100 passengers in the second quarter of the year, of which 99.3 percent travelled within the country, the National Statistics office said in its latest update of the figures.
