Georgia’s Black Sea region of Adjara is hosting influencers from Azerbaijan for introduction to the locality’s ecotourism offerings and local cuisine, before sharing their impressions to “hundreds of thousands of followers”, the Tourism Department of the region said on Wednesday.
The visiting group explored not only popular tourist attractions in the region’s central city of Batumi on the coastline, but also ventured into its mountainous landscapes, the body added, noting it had welcomed about 100 journalists and influencers through 25 media tours this year alone.
The reach of these initiatives has extended to over 15 target countries, including the United Kingdom, Denmark, Italy, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, India, China, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The body added the efforts had led to the “diverse” tourism assets of Adjara, spanning marine and mountain tours, “garnering attention internationally”, and added the promotional efforts would continue throughout the rest of the year.
