The National Food Agency of Georgia on Monday said inspection of ​​56 samples of products throughout the country had revealed no presence of Sudan dyes, a chemical food contaminant.

The Agency said samples of spices, ketchup, sauces, eggs and other products taken from retail and wholesale sales facilities were subjected to the inspection.

It added inspection was being carried out on “various indicators” of food on the market, adding it intended to gather 60 more samples by the end of this year.
