Georgia's Prosecutor General, US Ambassador discuss cooperation

Giorgi Gabitashvili, the Prosecutor General of Georgia and Robin Dunnigan, the US Ambassador to the country, on Friday discussed the cooperation between the two countries and the implemented and ongoing reforms in the Prosecutor's Office.

Gabitashvili expressed his gratitude to Dunnigan for the “long-standing and productive cooperation” with the Office in combating cybercrime and the development of the jury system, the Office said.

 

The meeting was also attended by Bakur Abuladze, the First Deputy Prosecutor General, Giorgi Badashvili and Natia Merebashvili, the deputy prosecutor generals, Irakli Chilingarashvili, the Head of the International Relations and Legal Department.

Lana Owens, the US Department of Justice Resident Legal Advisor, Lauren Eades, the Acting Director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, and  Nata Tsnoriashvili, a representative of the US Embassy in the country, also attended the introductory meeting.
