Belle About Town, a British travel, culture, and culinary magazine, has featured an article on Georgia's culinary heritage for its readers, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said on Friday.
The magazine’s travel writer, Gill Martin, visited the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival in London in late July to introduce visitors to Georgian dishes and wine, the body added.
Leading Georgian chefs and sommeliers joined those from around the world in London for a series of culinary and wine masterclasses. There were tastings and discussions about Georgian food, and guests discovered a viticulture that’s thrived for some 8,000 years. Under the guidance of sommelier Irakli Cholobargia they tasted wines crafted at the crossroads of Europe and Asia”, Martin wrote.
The Administration said it had participated at the Festival for the first time, providing attendees with four sessions of masterclasses of Georgian wine and cuisine.
