Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday claimed that “certain interventions” contradicting the election principles could not affect the results of the parliamentary elections scheduled for October.
Kobakhidze’s comments followed a democratic festival, hosted by the Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy in the city of Telavi in the country's eastern Kakheti region, with a large part of the festival grounds being arranged for pavilions of the domestic opposition parties.
The PM added the outcome of the elections could not be affected by particular acts going against electoral norms.
