The joint projects and ongoing reforms in healthcare were discussed on Saturday between Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze and Didier Trebucq, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the country, at the introductory meeting.
The sides highlighted Georgia’s successful and fruitful cooperation with the UN organisations in health, social and human rights protection, the Georgian Health Ministry said.
The State Universal Healthcare Program, ensuring financial and geographic access to healthcare services, and social issues were also reviewed at the meeting, where the Minister and the UN representative agreed on future cooperation and “further deepening the partnership”.
The meeting was also attended by Silviu Domente, the representative of the World Health Organisation in Georgia and David Mushkudiani, the UN Development Coordinator Officer, the Ministry noted.
