The Public Service Hall of Georgia has introduced a new health insurance service to provide foreign customers with access to a “variety of insurance packages” and “competitive pricing” during their stay in the country, the body said on Friday.
It added foreign citizens could purchase insurance policies - valid for one year - at 121 branches and mobile Public Service Halls across the country, through the service introduced by the body in partnership with local insurance company Imedi L.
The insurance policy includes access to a general paediatrician, medical services nationwide, remote consultations with a family doctor, preventive studies without waiting periods, and remote services like reimbursement requests and electronic appeals.
Furthermore, foreign customers can benefit from unlimited planned dental services with 50 percent co-financing.
Lasha Lobjanidze, the Chair of the body and Nodar Gelovani, the General Director of the insurance company, oversaw the launch of the service at the central Public Service Hall in Tbilisi.
