Georgian Parliament Committee Chair reviews EU integration in Budapest visit

Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, is on a visit to Budapest to review bilateral relations and European integration with representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of Hungary.

Officials of the two states discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as the dynamics of relations and cooperation between Georgia and the EU within the framework of Hungary's presidency of the bloc, the Georgian Parliament said.

 

Botchorishvili thanked her Hungarian counterparts for their “firm” support for Georgia's accession to the EU.

The Hungarian officials reiterated their support for Georgia and emphasised the importance of the EU enlargement policy as a “priority” for the Hungarian presidency.
