Georgia has achieved a historic high of a 66.7 percent result and a rank of 34th, as well as a top 10 placement with 11 years of progress, in the latest Confidence Dimension Index by Varieties of Democracy, an institution studying the qualities of governments.
The Index, which assesses the extent to which executive authorities are influenced by legislative confidence, has observed the country’s rise by 40 positions since 2012.
In 2023, the country’s progress put it ahead of, and on par with, states including several members of the Big Seven, NATO and the European Union.
Notably, it has outperformed the United States, France, Cyprus, South Korea and Singapore, while also sharing ratings with Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Greece, Lithuania, New Zealand, Slovenia, Hungary, Malta and others.
The project for the ranking is led by investigators, project managers, regional managers, over 134 coordinators and about 4,000 experts worldwide.
