Matthew Miller, the Spokesperson for the United States Department of State, on Monday highlighted the importance of Georgian citizens “alone” deciding the future of their country in the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26.

We are always vigilant in watching those. It is important that the Georgian people and the Georgian people alone decide the future of their country”, he said.

In his remarks, Miller noted a number of Russian “not just attempts”, but “outright interference” in elections throughout the region and the world.
