Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament's European Integration Committee, on Friday discussed cooperation with China in a meeting with Ambassador Zhou Qian.
The meeting also reviewed the “strategic importance” of Georgia for the Black Sea region and possibilities of strengthening the role.
The parties also discussed the importance of the country’s relations with the European Union and areas of strategic cooperation between China and the bloc.
The officials highlighted the importance of “fully using new opportunities” that they said had opened up between the two countries after the establishment of a strategic partnership last year.
