Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s European Union Integration Committee, on Friday discussed cooperation with Italy and the possibilities of deepening inter-parliamentary relations in a meeting with Massimiliano D'Antuono, the Italian Ambassador to the country.
The meeting also reviewed Georgia's foreign policy priorities and “important topics” of its integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures, Parliament’s press office said.
Botchorishvili highlighted reforms carried out by the Georgian Government, progress achieved by the country in its European Union integration and existing challenges.
The parties also discussed the geopolitical situation and security challenges of the Black Sea region and “ongoing processes” in Georgia.
