Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday congratulated Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as the President of the European Commission.
In his social media post, Kobakhidze said he was looking forward to continuing collaboration and strengthening Georgia's European Union aspirations.
Earlier on Thursday, von der Leyen said the future of Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia would be “free and prosperous” and “inside our Union”, and added inviting countries to the EU would ensure that “democracy, prosperity and stability” spread across Europe.
