Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Friday said he had held a “very good meeting” with Dennis Francis, the President of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in Washington, to discuss the country’s “excellent cooperation” on UN processes and ways to further enhance it.
In his turn, Francis noted he had reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia during the meeting, adding he appreciated the country's “active role and contribution to multilateralism”.
The parties also agreed to strengthen the partnership in addressing “global challenges”.
