Warsaw hosts showcase of over 100 wines in Georgian Wine Grand Tasting event

Over 100 wines by more than 20 Georgian wine producing companies have been showcased at the Georgian Wine Grand Tasting event in Warsaw, Poland, the Georgian National Wine Agency said on Friday.

The event, which saw a gathering of over 200 journalists, bloggers and representatives of the commercial sector, was organised by the Agency’s contractor company Peopl.Pr and was supported by the Georgian Embassy in the country.

The Agency said the occasion marked a “growing global appeal” of Georgian wines and emphasised the “strategic” significance of Poland as an export market for the product.

It added its promotional activities since 2013 had resulted in a 23 percent year-on-year increase in exports to the country in January-May 2024, with 2.6 million litres exported.

A “large-scale presentation” of Georgian wines is also scheduled in Poland next month, the Agency said.
