Georgian PM says consultations on ruling party list for elections have not started

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said consultations for forming the electoral list of the ruling Georgian Dream party for the October parliamentary elections had not yet started.

Kobakhidze said the matter had been “discussed collegial manner” at the political council of the party and added the approach of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the party and former Prime Minister of the country, was that “all principled decisions should be made on the basis of consultations”.

I believe that all members of the current parliamentary majority who wish to remain on this parliamentary list. This is the general attitude of the team, of each leader of the team. This is the general attitude of the whole team”, he said.

Today's parliamentary majority is distinct from all previous parliamentary majorities in many respects, including competence”, the PM added.
