The Revenue Service of the Georgian Finance Ministry on Friday said its customs officers had seized up to 15 tonnes of undeclared diesel fuel at the border checkpoint on the Red Bridge, a crossing point between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

The Service said the officers had seized the fuel from a specially arranged concealed compartment of a truck.

It added import of undeclared fuel in the country was “strictly controlled” as part of customs supervision of vehicles carrying out international cargo transportation.
