Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani on Thursday participated in the meeting of the Ukrainian Defence Contact Group in Brussels to discuss coordinated military assistance for Ukraine amid the ongoing war.
The meeting was opened by the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the United States Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, the Georgian Defence Ministry said.
Participants discussed the situation created as a result of the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the need to provide coordinated military assistance to Ukraine.
The Defence Contact Group was established in April 2022 at the initiative of the US and unites more than 50 countries supporting Ukraine.
