Delegations from Georgia’s Central Election Commission observed European Parliament elections last week in Hungary, Estonia and Romania, the body said on Thursday.
Three groups of observers from the body were invited as international observers for the vote, with one travelling to Hungary with an official invitation of the Hungarian National Election Office to also observe local self-government and minority elections. They were introduced to electoral procedures at various polling stations.
Another group in Tallinn, Estonia observed vote-counting and summary procedures while also taking part in a seminar on the elections.
In Bucharest, the third group observed the European Parliament and local administrative body elections, including opening and closing of polling stations, voting and a briefing of preliminary results.
