Georgian Parliament Committee Chair, US Advisor discuss Georgia’s progress in ensuring disability rights

The Georgian Government’s progress in ensuring protection of rights of individuals with disabilities, and challenges in the process, were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Rati Ionatamishvili, the Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, and Sara Minkara, the Special Advisor on International Disability Rights of the United States Department of State.

The Parliament said the meeting held during Ionatamishvili’s official visit to the US also emphasised the “necessity” of bilateral visits for the enhancement of cooperation.
