Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday claimed results of the European Parliament elections on Sunday had shown “signs of a crisis”.

On the basis of the elections of the European Parliament, signs of a crisis have appeared - it is a kind of democratic crisis, but I am sure that Europe will overcome this crisis in the medium term. It is in everyone's interest”, Kobakhidze said.

“In reality, there will be some changes, but essentially things will continue to develop as they have been”, he added.

He also said his Government’s foreign policy priority was integration into the European Union, and further pointed out “we pay particular attention to the processes that will take place in the European Union”, adding it was “in everyone's interest to make political processes in the European Union as healthy as possible”.
