Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Tuesday highlighted the importance of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s participation in the ongoing Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin.
In his remarks, Darchiashvili noted the “unity and solidarity” shown by the international community towards Ukraine.
“It is very important that the Prime Minister of Georgia is in Berlin and participating in this very important event together with other counterparts. This is a demonstration by the Prime Minister and our country once again that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, and showing support for them is very important to us”, he said.
Accordingly, the presence of the Georgian delegation here under the leadership of the Prime Minister is another demonstration that Georgia strongly supports Ukraine and the Ukrainian people”, Darchiashvili added.
Kobakhidze reviewed various forms of assistance the Georgian Government had provided to Ukraine since the onset of the war in a roundtable session attended by about 10 state leaders including the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine.
Kobakhidze on Tuesday expressed his Government’s “readiness to make maximum contribution” to the recovery of Ukraine and support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country amid its ongoing war with Russia.
