Individuals who wish to purchase or register a gas weapon in Georgia will now be required to submit weapon storage certificates to the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry said on Friday.
The requirement came into force on Thursday, with the Ministry saying its territorial bodies would make written decisions on either approving or refusing applications.
Failure to appear or refusal to allow authorised professionals to visit places of residence or weapons storage locations are grounds for refusal of permits, it added.
