Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday met with employees of the Ministry of Education, Science And Youth to discuss upcoming “fundamental” changes in the sector.
The Government Administration cited Kobakhidze as saying a new Government programme would focus on making “substantial changes” in higher education and science. The Prime Minister also emphasised the need for improving educational infrastructure to provide “better opportunities” for students and young people.
Kobakhidze highlighted the “important role” of civil servants in the country’s development and thanked the Ministry employees for their years of service.
He also discussed ongoing and planned large-scale infrastructure projects and emphasised the significance of “political stability” for the country’s development.
The meeting followed Kobakhidze’s discussions with employees of ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Justice.
