Kyrgyzstan is an interesting, intensively and rapidly developing country. The Parliamentary Delegation of Kyrgyzstan [is interested in learning] the achievements of Georgia that cover facilitation of business and development of transit infrastructure and highland regions”, Volski said.
The lawmaker also said the two sides agreed on Kyrgyzstan’s maintaining of recognition of the territorial integrity of Georgia.
It would be preferable for Kyrgyzstan to approve the United Nations Resolution concerning the return of IDPs to the [Russian-]occupied territories [of Georgia] - however, we still achieved the agreement that now, instead of voting against this Resolution, Kyrgyzstan will abstain from ballots on the Resolution”, he added.
The meetings also involved David Matikashvili, the First Deputy Chair of the Legal Issues Committee of Georgian Parliament and the Head of the Georgia and Kyrgyzstan Friendship Group in discussions of the parliamentary cooperation.
