Yes Theory, an established Canadian digital media brand, is promoting Svaneti and Tusheti, two of northern Georgia’s mountainous regions, after filming the locations.
The Georgian National Tourism Administration invited a team from the outlet in the latest initiative in the body’s efforts to promote Georgia as a tourist destination, it said on Monday.
The visitors filmed locations including Ushguli, Omalo and Bochorna, and shot a 36-minute film about nature, culture, traditions and local cuisine.
The outlet said their journey had proved “dangerous and impossible”, and called Ushguli “the most isolated village in Europe”.
Yes Theory's YouTube channel has over nine million subscribers and boasts over a billion views on its videos.
