Georgian PM says free media “important achievement” on Georgian Journalism Day

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday congratulated domestic media on Georgian Journalism Day by saying free media and independent journalism were “important achievements that should always be protected”.
 

In his message over the date, Kobakhidze noted domestic journalism had been “writing its history for more than a hundred years” and called the legacy a “very valuable experience”.
 

Your role in the process of informing the public is significant. Free media and independent journalism is an important achievement that we will always protect and take care of”, the PM added.
