Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, the Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces, on Wednesday hosted Brigadier General Stefan Kowitz, the Director of the Multinational Medical Coordination Centre-Europe, to discuss cooperation.
The Ministry said the meeting between the parties discussed relations between the country and the Centre in military medicine.
Matiashvili also awarded Kowitz with the Honourable Partner Medal for his “special contribution” to the development of military medical capability within the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package.
The MMCC-E has been leading the SNGP military and medical capabilities development initiative from 2021.
