Georgian PM discusses airports’ development with TAV Holding

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday discussed infrastructural projects for Tbilisi and Batumi international airports during a meeting with a delegation from TAV Airports Holding, the company operating the facilities in the country.

The meeting noted projects aiming to increase the capacity of passenger flow in the venues, with the Government Administration saying the sides reviewed preparations for the upcoming summer season and noted new airlines were planning to enter the Georgian market in the near future.

The parties also discussed “growing indicators” of tourism and noted it was “important” for the airport infrastructure in the country to be ready for increased passenger flows.

The managers of the company informed the Prime Minister about projects implemented in the last period and noted the expansion of the arrival terminal of Tbilisi International Airport was planned in the near future to reduce queues.
