The cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia and the former’s European integration were discussed on Monday in a meeting between the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Matúš Bušovský, the newly appointed Slovak Ambassador to the country.
The officials “positively assessed” the dynamics of cooperation and high-level visits involving officials of the two countries, the Parliament said.

The meeting focused on bilateral relations, Georgia's progress on the European Union integration path, and the situation in the wider region.
Bušovský noted his country’s Government supported the granting of the EU candidate status to Georgia and was “ready” to provide assistance to the country “in all necessary directions”.
