Georgian national basketball team and Tenerife centre Giorgi Shermadini on Friday was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the top Spanish basketball league - Endesa League 2022-2023 season, winning the title for the second time in his career.
Scoring 88.6 points in the championships, averaging 14.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists during the season, Shermadini was chosen as the MVP by the fans, coaches, journalists and players. The Georgian athlete was awarded by the Endesa League on the plane, with the pilot announcing his win.

With the second win in his career, the Georgian basketball player has repeated the results of prominent professional players, including Lithuanian Arvydas Sabonis, Argentinian Luis Scola, Montenegrin-Spanish Nikola Mirotić, American Tanoka Beard and Spanish Felipe Reyes.
In addition to the MVP title, Shermadini was also chosen in the top five of the league, with Baskonia’s Darius Thompson, Markus Howard and Real Madrid’s Dzanan Musa and Edy Tavares.
