Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Israeli Minister of Tourism Haim Katz on Wednesday signed an agreement to promote tourism ties between their states and commended the deal as “mutually beneficial” for further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Before signing the agreement, the Georgian official met with his counterpart Eli Cohen and Amir Ohana, the Chair of the Knesset, as part of his Israeli trip, after reviewing bilateral topics with the country's President Isaac Herzog and the Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat.

The meetings highlighted prospects for further strengthening partnership in a number of sectors, importance of parliamentary diplomacy and “centuries-long friendship and fruitful cooperation” between the two nations.
Darchiashvili is scheduled to end his three-day trip later on Wednesday.
