Turkey ($673.7 million), Russia ($666.9 million) and China ($376 million) were the top trading partners of Georgia in its total external trade turnover between January and March, preliminary data from the National Statistics office of Georgia shows.
Georgia's top partners by exports were Armenia ($216.9 million), Azerbaijan ($180.7 million) and Russia ($176.9 million), while the top markets by imports were Turkey ($568.7 billion), Russia ($490 million) and the United States ($261.8 million).
Overall, Georgian external trade turnover amounted to $4.78 billion in January-March 2023, posting a 22.1 percent increase year-on-year.
The value of exports rose by 24.7 percent and equalled $1.46 billion, while imports also grew by 21 percent, amounting to $3.32 billion in the first three months of 2023.
