Georgia’s national rugby team defeated their Spanish counterparts 49:15 and claimed Rugby Europe championship for the 14th time at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi on Sunday.
Akaki Tabutsadze, Otar Giorgadze and Giorgi Ckoidze scored five tries in total in the match, while Vasil Lobzhanidze was named the best player of the game.

The Lelos finished the tournament with 20 points from four wins and one draw, and ahead of Spain on 17 points, Romania on 14, Portugal on 12, Netherlands on four and Russia with a single point.
The Georgian squad did not play its scheduled game against Russia due to sanctions and full suspension of the Russian team by the world governing body, with four points awarded to the squad’s opponents.
