Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani has expressed his solidarity and support for Ukraine during a meeting with Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba at the Munich Security Conference.
The officials highlighted the importance of consolidation of the international community in order to "de-escalate the situation and avoid intervention" amid Russia's military buildup near the Ukrainian border.
The foreign ministers recalled the harsh lessons Ukraine and Georgia had learned from Russian occupation, Georgian MFA reported.
The sides agreed to stay in close coordination both in bilateral and international formats.
Kuleba thanked the Georgian government and people for their support and solidarity with Ukraine.
The Georgian parliament adopted a resolution in support of Ukraine on February 1, condemning "any military intention" aimed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
