Giorgi Tsikolia, the Deputy Chief of mission at the Georgian Embassy to the United States, will lead the business development of the software development company Lineate as the Regional Director for Georgia and the region, the company announced on Friday.

The company highlighted Tsikolia’s “distinguished career” in the public service and private sector, including his diplomatic career in Washington and “impressive legislative and economic” results, which had solidified US-Georgia strategic partnership.

In its statement the company noted that through their subsidiary Lineate Georgia, they planned to become a “valuable member” of the Georgian corporate environment and contribute to the development of the local economy, while also bringing US know-how and modern business processes to the “already impressive and fast-growing” IT industry.

The statement also said that Tsikolia would play an “important” role in adapting the culture of the company in Georgia and the region, with the aim to create a model tech ecosystem, grow local talent and work with Georgian universities to put the country on the wider map as an “up-and-coming regional” tech hub.  

The company has more than 15 years of experience in developing high-end software and advanced data solutions.
