At the Mukhrovani base, the servicemembers from the two countries ran an ambush operation manoeuvre involving tasks of raiding and destroying enemy forces, and crossing dangerous terrain.

The exercise was run under the Joint Combined Exchange Training programme, designed in the US in the 1970s as a training opportunity for American special forces in countries that they may one day have to operate in.

The programme also aims to provide training opportunities for armed forces of the host countries.
